SkyTrak for Android is live in the Play Store

Hey all,

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that you can now download v2.6.5 from the Google Play Store. It is live, but we want it in the market for a bit before we do our official release - so think of this as a forum special heads up

Moving forward, Android will be updated in tandem with updates for iOS and PC.

Thank you for all your help in testing devices during beta. It's been a daunting task with so many out there and with the processing power required to run SkyTrak. The following Android devices have been tested in-house and are officially approved for use with SkyTrak. In general, we have seen best results with newer Android devices containing octa-core (or dual quad-core) processors. We will continue to test more devices and will update this list accordingly.

I've happily been using the Android pre-store version on a Galaxy S7 with the (International) Exynos 8 processor - the processing delay is quite nice actually, allowing me to watch the real flight, then watch it on the phone. Only issue as mentioned elsewhere is I sometimes find myself mucking around for 10 minutes trying to log in as account persistence has a few issues and phone will try to use SkyTrak's hotspot which of course won't serve internet.

So you are connected in direct mode? I would suggest installing the real version from the store, as it should save your login credentials after first login (assuming you check 'remember me') and let you login without internet from that point forward.

Yes, direct mode - at the range, however it would be previously connected in network mode at home. Will install the release version next range trip and eventually I'll conclude a solid 100% repro.

Also had the release v3.0 PC software ask me again for login details when I used it today despite always clicking 'remember me'. I don't mind that too much as I can just reenter them, but on the range with Android a bit of network juggling is required.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. This login issue was also raised in another thread...I'm investigating now.
