    SkyTrak + R motion/Smash Factor enhancements= more distance ???

Many people including myself have noticed and commented on SkyTrak distances being slightly shorter than IRL. Has anyone at all noticed a pick up in distance or even shorter distances than usual after they connected R Motion to the setup? I am just wondered if the slightly more accurate smash factor between the two has made any difference in that department at all ???? Anyone please ---before I purchase in the next day or so.

Hmm, I don't think the rmotion add on is gonna provide you that information based on it's inability to measure smash factor. I think it's best application is to provide face angle and club path at impact. The combination will still miss out on face contact and angle of attack.

With that said, I feel the rmotion can really add to the understanding of impact conditions. With some collaboration, the combination could enhance sim characteristics especially on and around the greens. We're not there just yet, but I'm hoping it happens one day...

The TGC flight algorithms don't use smash factor since they already have all the necessary measured ball data. The measured ball data (especially ball speed) is more accurate than could be achieved by deriving from club data.

if TGC displays smash factor (does it? I can't remember) then in principle it should be better as you say but in practice may not be (for several reasons).

Thanks guys.... was just wondering if anyone that had r motion noticed any distance differences once they added it to SkyTrak

IRL I smooth spank my r9 tp 8 iron 153 y.....but on the SkyTrak range CCE mat I have to kill it to reach 138 yards.... tee it up just a touch and pure it down the middle and only reach 145 yards... (all carry distances)

anyone hitting from Fiberbuilt noticing better distances ?

Just kinda trying to get some things figured out before I make the major TGC software package purchase in the next few days.

I have a Fiberbuilt mat and with the Skytrak range my distances (even with the driver) are spot on. When I hit it a little bit fat my distances drop noticeable.
