TrueStrike mat with my SkyTrak - frustrating and disappointing

I recently purchased a TrueStrike mat, and had high hope on the "true fairway feeling". Unfortunately the shots on the hit section just escape SkyTrak. On average only < 50% shots are picked up by SkyTrak. I suspect the emulated fairway up-and-down move disguises the SkyTrak camera. Needless to say I am very disappointed. Buyers aware for TrueStrike mat if you intend to use it with Skyatrak!

An added note: the shots on the non-gel hitting area (regular mat) are picked up fine by SkyTrak.

I use Truestrike with my skytrak and generally have no issues.

I have it with gel section on far right (for righty) so that skytrak sits on the floor, adjusted with legs in case to be same height as mat. I have also put some extra putting turf off cuts over the plastic end piece on the gel section, and taped over the branding on the black surround with non-IR reflective tape. I just didn't like all the white which was on there, don't know if it made a difference. I do have one set of trousers which are massively IR reflective, and it if I wear them I have loads of missed shots.

what I'm saying is, don't give up - it's not the mat itself which is the issue, but something in your environment.

I also have recently upgraded to a Truestrike mat and love it. I have no issues with my ST. I can tell you my ST is slightly lower than my hitting surface.
