v2.6.6 and Beyond

Hi All,

Sorry to be a stranger as of late, there has been a lot going on behind the scenes here - mainly good things! The exception is that we've been fighting an issue with the Apple store which hugely delayed what seemed to be a very minimal release of v2.6.6 which targeted improving the unit re-arm delay some of you were experiencing. We finally got it through and on the bright side, paved the way for the next release which has been in the works for the last few months.

On that note, I'll probably need to be heads-down over the next 2 weeks, so my time here will continue to remain limited. However, I will do my best over the coming days to catch up to my inbox and notifications.

Can't wait to take to take a breath and get back to business as usual

Yep, but cloud can mean a couple of different things. We are now compatible with E6 1.6 cloud-based authorization service (ie no dongle required). This is at no cost to move to this system. TruGolf is also moving to a new engine...we are currently unable to offer this upgrade due to technical issues, but we are working hard to accommodate for this as quickly as possible. Finally, there is a commercial cloud clubhouse subscription that SkyTrak users will be able to utilize. It's a little confusing so if there is any doubt, I would highly recommend just contacting TruGolf. They are super people over there and can surely explain it better than I can

Should this be interpreted as that the big release many of us (club path ;-) ) are waiting for is due in two weeks?

SkyTrak_Seth Seth, please don't forget about the issue of the offset adjustment on the range not properly saving the last setting. After an offset adjustment is made, the software defaults back to the center when starting the app again.

Ha, it won't be in this next release but I've noted that. I think it may just end up being the ability for users to customize the dials along the bottom.

I was hoping that the new release would put the displayed data in windows so that we could use multiple display screens. ie say range on one display screen and data display on another. Shouldn't be too difficult and would add considerably to what is already a great product.

Hmmm, had not heard that one before. It's a good idea. I just need to figure out how we would do it

Any request for the last shot tracer to be of a different color if the display multiple shots option is selected? i.e. display last 5 (10, 50) shots selected but every tracer is the same color, the last shot gets lost in the mix; having a different colored tracer would be helpful.

Ideally, I'd like to make the previous shots a lower opacity than the current, but in the same color. There was a limitation on this a long time ago, but let me see what I can do. I'd like to revamp the tracers anyway.

SkyTrak_Seth - for short chips, it would be really useful to show the actual carry yardage including inches ... currently I see 2 yards. So Maybe for distances less than 10? Yards, having some additional accuracy, would be nice.

I'm not sure how we could keep that constant in the shot history table. I do agree, it'd be a nice feature. Let me think on it.
