    JNPG stuck in the sand

So I have both JNPG and TGC but only really use TGC for one simple reason. I can't get out of the green side sand in JNPG. Skytrak acts frozen. There are a lot of folks liking JNPG so thought I would take another run at it before my subscription ends. Second hole in and find myself green side bunker, no matter how many whacks I take, nothing. Exit out and start over no problems....... till I'm in the sand. Any thoughts? Never an issue in TGC, short chips always read.

Hmmmm . . . I've never had that issue before. Are you pointing the logo of the ball at the SkyTrak unit? What wedge are you hitting? I think as long as you are pointing the logo at the camera and sitting the ball a little inside of the red dot and just a little ahead of the red dot then you should get a reading. I've hit 54/58/62 wedges from the sand without any freezing or no reads.

Another thing to try to help cut down on the frustration is enter a round in "practice" mode and go to a bunker that way you aren't starting a round and trying to get through it, but trying to get the bunker shots to work.

Thanks for the speedy replies. Hitting standard ping wedges, like I said not an issue in TGC. Seems as if I remember being just a few yards off the green same thing. Aeroburner, not sure I understand "discord app", appreciate the help.

So to follow up, resumed my round at Quail Hollow with the ball right there in the sand and first strike it popped out. I played the front nine to conclusion without further issue. I did notice some erratic flickers of the ball laser and sometimes a noticeable delay to come on after the shot info had cleared, but like I said no more frozen lies. I can only assume the skytrak had frozen for whatever reason, and if time permits I may try again this weekend.

I liked the software, although earily quiet. Nobody making fun of my poor play! Need to find a list of shortcut keys.

Yeah it took me quite awhile to get used to no John - LOL. I think what you might have been experiencing was a SkyTrak "no read". That does happen every so often. Not sure why it would only happen to you in the sand. So what happens is that the SkyTrak sends the data to JNPG, but it just does not result in a shot showing. So the game just sits there. When that happens you can go to the JNPG data display screen (not sure what the actual term is) and there you will find an "Arm SkyTrak" button. You just click that and it rearms your SkyTrak so that you can swing again.

The Discord app (iphone/pc/mac/android, etc) is the meeting hub of JNPG players where multiplayer games are set up and folks just hang out.
