My certified pre-owned SkyTrak arrived two days ago. I still had some work getting my room set-up so didn't get to hit my first shots until last night (off my new Country Club Elite mat). I have to say I was a bit nervous after reading about mis-reads, no reads, and concerns about accuracy. But I have to say I'm VERY pleased. Set-up was a breeze and it only took a few minutes until I was ready to go. The device is a little closer to the ball than I imagined and my first shots registered as hooks. I typically hit a little fade so considered the psychological effect of having the SkyTrak that close to the ball was causing me to hook it. But, after placing the SkyTrak on a board (it originally was on carpet) and using the alignment tool, I can say that the the results (as far as direction) seem right on. It is registering consistently 5 to 10 yards shorter than I usually hit, but I'm willing to consider that's the "hitting indoors effect" and could change over time.

I upgraded to Game Improvement last night and will install TGC tonight. Look forward to playing my first round, of course at St. Andrews.

Bottom line - so far so good. Lives up to my expectations and I'm excited to play golf this winter!!!

Welcome to the club (golfaholics anonymous). First step is admitting you have a problem haha. Be prepared for some fun and join us on the tour.

Thanks Seth and Allen. I will keep you posted. Plan to be pretty active on the forum and yeah, man, can't wait to join the TGC tour after getting some practice rounds in.

I find mine is super sensitive to alignment. If it’s even 1mm to the left or right it hooks or slices pretty bad. Even to the point where you hit a genuine draw and it still slices.

Should it really be this sensitive.

that's not how it should work. it measures spin and launch angles independently. if it is out of alignment it should only affect launch angles, not spin.
