  • Why does my SkyTrak keep showing draws?

I keep missing targets by 25+ yards left...on the SkyTrak...on just about every shot with every club.

In real life and on the course---my miss is much, much less severe. Could this be a unit setup issue?

Draw or do you mean pull? If you're setting up your Skytrak NOT square with your target line, then that would only affect pull/push, not spin (unless that's also causing you to stand with more of a closed stance to your target line than you're used to IRL, causing you to swing a little more inside to out.

Assuming you're swinging indoors... is it a low ceiling where you might be swinging a little flatter (and maybe swinging more inside out = more right to left - if you're a righty).

    Just a couple cents.

Most likely a lack of commitment to the shot from being indoors - hands take over. SkyTrak does have a 250 rpm side spin accuracy, so some shots you'll see more curve, some less. That's about 10 yards worth on a 250 yard carry.

Yep---indoors but plenty of room to swing. I'll work on some better turns through the ball to see if that is it. Thanks.

Also don't forget about SkyTrak's 2° horizontal accuracy as well - that could make the draw look even worse - maybe 18 or so yards left on a big drive.

Any way to adjust for that in settings?

The SkyTrak also appears to over exaggerate spin a bit. It's been speculated to be related to Spin Decay. That appears reasonable in my mind. Seth is aware and had indicated that they might work it into a future update.

If I have a consistent pull I make a conscious effort to take note of the ST orientation and re-align myself to that. That's often my problem with a push/pull greater than a few degrees.

Since using the skytrak I've developed a pull/hook, I think it's fear of hitting the unit

TGC apparently has a patch for putting to make anything under 3° go dead straight - not sure if it's done for chipping or long shots.

JNPG uses percentage reductions in direction according to how fast the putt is - 5 different levels. So a long putt reading 3.5° online will get halved to 1.75°, but a shorter putt reduced more. One can still miss but overall I believe it works well. Chipping they'll limit the amount it can be offline but you can still easily miss.
