All,
Does anyone have the ultimate guide to getting SkyTrak into network mode?? I've tried a million times and have gotten it to work a few times but it just didn't work well. I eventually just added a WiFi usb stick to add a secondary WiFi and just connect my Skytrak directly to "WiFi 2".
Is the usb stick just the best way to establish a reliable connection or is network mode better?? Any opinions? I'd like to test for myself but I can't even get my unit to connect. I can select my network and get the middle yellow light but then it just sits there and never goes completely green. I found Seth's tip about forgetting my 5G network but that didn't work. My unit just sits "bricked" with a middle yellow light. So from top to bottom it's red, yellow, green. Direct works and USB works but I find USB really spotty.
While I'm at it does anyone find with JNPG that misreads increase as you get to the sixth hole or back nine? Seems I have great results in the beginning and then putts and drives start to get missed later in the round. This is pretty consistent from my observations. Just makes it awkward to play with others and I realize misreads will happen but there is an obvious pattern. I find putts get resolved by placing the ball behind the laser a few inches and I always hit drives with the ball an inch or two back. The SkyTrak app is amazing for misreads and has improved a decent amount since I bought my SkyTrak.
