  • DIY Slider for Skytrack or GC2

I am starting a new build in a new house and was looking for a way to incorporate different hitting surfaces or to move hitting area around to help with wear.

Came across this pretty simple DIY for a camera slide if anyone is interested:

Ah thanks CW I was searching for that post but couldn't find it. If you build soon please post pics and let us know how it went.

This will work surpsingly well if you don't have HMT. https://www.amazon.com/Top-Handy-Cad...=coffee+slider

Did a quick build last night and think it turned out half way decent. Outside of the components needed, I just used some old shelving for the base and the sliding base that the GC2 sits on. Here are a few pics and a list of the Amazon items for us in the US. I will be doing divot action inserts for both fairway and rough and I think the slider will work out nicely.

No problem guys! I understand the putting on FB. I originally had my gc2 positioned close enough so I could putt off the stance mat rather than the insert.

CW35..... I ordered the parts and built mine very similar. I made a wedge that the GC2 slides into. This ensures the same alignment every time. I also have my screws going 1/4 inch through the bottom of the base to provide some grip that eliminates the chance of a ball knocking it out of alignment.

Glad you got yours setup keither! Good idea on the wedge on the alignment. I tried to just use small "blocks" on the sides and the sliders in the front. What does you sit on? Mine is on some turf that you can see in the pics. I haven't really had a problem w/ the whole thing moving but i have definitely been careful walking around it.

It slides really easy. A slight push with a club head and it will slide either way.

Just need to make sure everything is square/parallel when putting together. If not, it will bind and not slide easily

Very nice, exactly what I had in mind for my setup.

Here's what I built at work today. My fibrebuilt mat is higher than most others so hopefully this will work.
Otherwise if it doesn't work I'll be Making a slider one and order the parts.
