Unit Levelness and Alignement

When the unit is level (as verified through the skylark app) and I set to alignment mode, the two lasers are not equidistant from the unit. So I have to skew the unit to line the two laser points up properly. I have the unit at my shop and can reference it on a very flat cast iron surface, so I know it's not just an unlevel floor. Should I:
1. Level the unit using the app and skew the unit to line the lasers up to my target line.

2. Level the unit using the app and line the unit up parallel to my target line. Forget about using the alignment lasers.

3. Use the alignment laser points to level the unit. In other words, level the unit front to back so that the alignment lasers are equidistant from each other.

I've seen SkyTrak even say the lasers aren't accurate - to instead line up with the case. I prefer neither - rather to load up a range before the game visibly watch shots I hit straight actually go show as close to 0° in SimConsole and thus straight in game. I'm fortunate in that balls stick to my screen for a while so I can see the line, but you can also align by hitting putts. Just note SkyTrak does have a horizontal launch direction accuracy of 2° so straight putts won't always read 0.

Maybe you could try using a level on the floor where the alignment dots hit the level. While the dots are hitting the level, Ensure the level is level and align the unit.

So, I have attached a picture of my skytrak in alignment mode. I made sure to level the unit in the skytrak app and I am set the unit in an area where the floor is level. And the unit is parallel with the concrete seem. Ive done this test on my cast iron tablesaw top with the same results. It's been this way from day one. Should I just ignore the lasers, obviously its way off. Should I be concerned?

It could be just the picture but the lasers look a farther away from the ST than mine are.

Hey Whiskyjack, I have the skylark jacked up in the legs to be level with the height of my matt. Thats why lasers are so far away from the unit. But the unit is level font to back according to the level indicator in the app and the bubble level on top. Im just curious if other people have this problem and if this means there are some alignment issues with he unit.

Seth has said before, alignment mode is not reliable. In fact it was taken out of the software all together for a few of the updates.

That alignment mode issue is exactly like my unit. Alignment mode definitely works for me. If I hit the ball directly parallel to the unit, the ball goes way left. If I hit parallel to the two alignment dots, the ball goes straight. So, my unit has to be noticeably out of alignment with my mat in order to function properly.
