Skytrak projectors and computer

Hey guys, looked through some of these posts and am yet to find anything detailed. I'm looking for an affordable projector for Skytrak. So any model recommendations would be appreciated. Also, am I correct in stating you cannot use 'The Golf Club' software on an IPAD, and need a PC for use? And if so what are the minimum PC specs I would need, as I will be purchasing one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Can't help you on the projector.

Regarding TGC software.. it will not run on an iPad therefore you will need a PC. There are more detailed threads you can search for on specs but personally any Core i5/i7 processor machine should work fine and since its windows you want at least 8 and probably more like 16GB of system memory.

The most important piece of hardware you will want to run TGC well is the graphics card. You can probably get by with a 9 series Geforce (970 etc) but if you plan to run in high resolution, 4k etc you probably want at least a GTX 1050 or better with 6GB video memory.

I bought a Optoma GT1080E and think it works great for the money. Issues with it are no zoom so you need to mess around when first fitting the bracket and screen to get the distance correct and no horizontal keystone so you need it in the middle of the screen.
