Has anyone had issues using a USB extender cable when connecting their Skytrak and laptop via USB or is there a replacement cable for the Skytrak which is longer?

When I first bought my SkyTrak (almost a full year ago) I purchased a 10' USB cable at Wal-Mart. I used it with no issues except the 10% of shots being no reads until I read on this forum to use the network mode, as it is more reliable. You would think a hard wired connection would be the best, but nope! The network connection has been completely stable and I rarely get a no read, except for putting under 6 feet.

I use a 15ft cable with no issues since the wifi in my garage isn't too strong. I am not an IT guy but based on my googling before purchasing the cable you can go up to 16' 4" before you have issues with data loss.

i have a 6ft USB 3.0 cable i use with a small micro usb adapter. works great for me... might even be slightly faster using the 3.0... get the occasional no read but pretty sure every skytrak has some no reads!

I use a USB extender that is connected to either end by a Cat5 cable and a USB amplifier. I'm not an IT expert either, so I'm sorry if some of the terms are incorrect. I run a connection about 75 feet from a first floor office to my basement.
