    New to SkyTrak

I just opened my SkyTrak on Christmas morning and have been using the practice/range mode. I am hoping for some advice on purchasing the play and improve plan for the additional features. I have two main concerns. First, I only have an iPad Pro to use with the ST, so I think I am limited to only being able to use WGT for course play. Is it worth $199.95 per year if I am limited with the iPad? Second, the set-up location is in a detached garage approximately 50' from my house. Will I be able to play courses on the ST if I don't have a good WiFi signal in the garage? I am using a Rukket Sports net and a carpet remnant with carpet padding underneath. My goal is to get a hitting screen and a projector set-up soon, after the Christmas credit cards are paid off. I would appreciate any insight you have to offer.

    Thanks!

I have a very similar setup except I have great wireless due to AP placement.

I purchased my SkyTrak and 1 year WGT in June. I used WGT about 5 times and haven't used it since.

I personally don't think it WGT that valuable and I purchased the SkyTrak to work on my game. Simulator play is fun, but not the goal for me.

My understanding is that you need to have Internet access (and good performance) to use WGT. Since that is the only option you have for simulator on an iPad, I think you would have challenges making it work.

I think a screen and projector would be great...Right now I hit into a net and just use the iPad to see what happens. Aiming can be a challenge, but I am really focused on swing path and ball flight so I get by.

Thank you for the reply, Clark! I plan to use the ST for very similarly as you, I just want to know my practicing is good practice. I am more interested in simulation play as an entertainment option for friends and family. I am confident in being able to boost my WiFi signal if needed.

      Thanks again!
