  • Skytrak problem with Apple lightning digital AV adapter and iOS 11.2.1

Is anyone else using Apple lightning digital AV adapter to output the iPhone/iPad to a monitor/TV/projector via HDMI and having problem with the latest iOS 11.2.1?

After updating my iPhone 7 plus and iPad Air 2 to the latest iOS 11.2.1, I've noticed that the Skytrak app and WGT app would both quit on their own as soon as I connect my iPhone/iPad via the digital AV adapter to my monitor via HDMI. No other apps had the same issue and were able to be displayed on the monitor appropriately, but both the Skytrak and WGT apps would continue to quit as soon as the monitor was connected. iPhone or iPad with iOS version prior to 11.2 didn't have the same problem, so I know it's not a hardware issue. It only started happening after I upgraded to 11.2. I was hoping 11.2.1 would've corrected the problem, but it didn't. I tried deleting the apps and reinstalling them, no luck.

Anyone else with similar issues? Can anyone from Skytrak please look into this?

    Thanks.

Yeah, we've discovered the same issue here at the office - super frustrating. For now, the workaround is simply to open the app and connect the unit to the software, then plug the lightening cable into the iPad. Works fine after that.
