Have a few questions skytrak about skytrak uses. One putting and chipping mode I think skytrak has this anybody know it e6 uses it can’t find it if they do, e6 says they do use it. Two does anyone know which software sims for sure has skytrak putting fixes in it. Played sims golf on e6 great tee to green, but chipping and putting is not usable in most cases. My skytrak will not pick up putts very good under 10 to 15 ft. Miss green by one foot, but 15 feet away hole can’ t putt. Have to chip way pass hole and put back because short chips won’t reed. If anyone knows how to fix this please let every body know. This may have been discussed if so my bad. Thanks to all forum members for their input it’t very helpful to me.

e6 does require chipping from the fringe. I can still use my putter for a chip-putt...gotta get the ball off the ground for a read. I have no problem putting on the green...but I do set greens to soft or moderate hardness and slow putting. Usually set for 10 foot gimmies, but sometimes 4 feet. Practice mode has a great chipping and putting app...helps with play and has also helped me improve real chips and putts. The SkyTrak software does not have putting. I've seen e6 in this forum say that you can put the SkyTrak into putting mode, but no you can't.

I've experienced the same problem. I have a Skytrak and went with E6 at first because of cost. Tee to green is great. But couldn't hole a putt to save my life. I also set 10 ft gimmes because it was so horrible. I made sure the skytrak was aligned perfectly but just couldn't stop the ball from randomly jumping offline. I downloaded the CG3D demo out of curiosity and found I could actually hole a putt. I had read about the TGC putting patch in here but was tentative about dropping that kind of money because I knew it didn't have tee box settings and what not. I've had TGC a couple weeks. I'm still learning my way around the software. But putting is awesome. And you can search for courses in the length you want to play. I'm looking forward to joining tournament play as well. If E6 has that option, I never used it.

To measure most putts and short chips the SkyTrak needs to switch the cameras from normal mode to putting mode. Our Fitness Golf software automatically switches the SkyTrak into putting mode whenever a ball is on the green or off the green withing 20 yards of the flag so that all putts and chips are recorded correctly. On the rare occasion that you are off the green and need to hit a high flop shot but are within the 20 yards of the flag, you can manually switch the SkyTrak back to normal mode to record these fuller swings. Thanks to Kalcorier,, Fitness golfer and Dan McWhirter for your post. Dan I tried putting with getting ball up, I used a 58 degree wedge. Was not easy that way, but could get it to read putts.
