Skytrak Bug - Latest Version

Might need to get the programmers to take a look at this one. This has happened quite a few times now. Thought it was just an anomaly at first, when I originally upgraded to the latest version of Skytrak as it didn't happen again. But then in one practice session last night, it happened 4 times. Take a look at the ball flight in the main part of the photo and then compare it to the grid on the right side of the screen. The grid trace is nothing like the ball flight - it's the opposite somehow.

Just seems to happen randomly. New golf ball - white. Has a black line in texta on it to help with shot tracking, which I face towards the skytrak. Never had this issue in previous versions of Skytrak software. I have not changed anything in my indoor range setup, same lighting, same hitting mat etc.

Interesting. My unit has just been sent back to be looked at by SkyTrak because I can't seem to get shots to register for a right hand player (which I am). It just stopped registering, Anyways, while troubleshooting with customer support they asked me to try the unit in left handed mode. I didn't feel comfortable taking a left handed swing since I had the unit outside of the protective case for troubleshooting. While I was on hold I realized I could stand behind the unit when it was in left handed mode and swing right handed over top of the unit. At least some of the shots were much the same as you see. Shots I hit to the left ended up showing to the right on the range grid on the right side of the screen. I had not updated the ST software unless it did it on it's own amd I'm not 100% sure all shots did that as I was paying more attention to if the unit was capturing my shots.

Yeah, I may or may not have that option to send the unit back. I live in Australia.

But I think this is a software issue as these sort of shots seem to happen only very sporadically. 4 last night. But previous to that, it would have been a few months since it happened before that. Plus it has only happened since using the latest version of the software.

would have had more than 100 shots last night on the range and in the challenges and they all registered fine. Only about 5 missed reads I would say. Which I think is acceptable seeing that even Trackman and Flightscope etc miss reading some shots and those units are way more expensive.

I am able to get this to repeat sometimes. If I delete a few of the shots in the session history it seems to increase the chance that one of the next few shots will go one direction but show the opposite way on the grid on the right hand side of the screen.
