SkyTrak iPhone app crashes with hdmi cord

Anyone else having an issue when plugging in an hdmi cord to your iPhone with an adapter causes the SkyTrak app to crash? The app will auto crash if the cord is plugged in and you Star the app.

There was a post made a couple of weeks ago on it and SkyTrak_Seth confirmed the issue.

I have to start the app first and then connect the HDMI. If not, it will crash.

Good to know that they are aware. I tried starting the app and plugging in the hdmi after that, but after a few shots it still crashes

I have success just flipping the cord over and plugging it in the other way when it crashes and then it seems to work well....Very odd but it does the trick with a very high success rate for me. also...putting your device down flat while you do everything so the screen can't roll seems to help. GL
