First problems with SkyTrak and WGT

Did anyone else have any issues with their ST or WGT last night? I have been using my ST with pretty much smooth sailing since December 25th. Suddenly while playing Pebble Beach and on my approach shot with hole 6 the ST/WGT stopped functioning. I finally had to restart my router, ST, iPad, and all apps being used before getting them to work again. Even after restarting everything it happened again after one hole. I tried just practicing in the ST app driving range and it wouldn't stay connected in the network mode. I ended up resetting the ST, which is a pain since I had to take it out of the FMJ case and then go through all of the network settings again. However, once I got everything synced up again they seemed to be working again. It was a very weird and frustrating evening...I appreciate any feedback, thanks! Hi cmckelvmi using ST with WGT is highly dependent on a reliable network connection. it is not unusual for the service from Internet providers to periodically be intermittent, which you wouldn't notice during regular web browsing or video streaming. If your internet connection dropped periodically for a few seconds each time last night, it could explain the ST/WGT connection drop. Resetting the unit merely clears the network credentials (makes ST forget the network) and you will have to go through the network setting again as you did. Provided this issue was in fact due to an intermittent internet connection, simply waiting until the network is reliable again should solve the problem, and you shouldn't have to reset. Your internet provider should have records of such events, touch base with them to see if they will confirm, but as I mentioned internet drops all the time, and unless you operate a hedge fund or own a SK you wont notice it. Otherwise keep an eye out to see if it happens again.

SkyTrak_Rahim Thank you for the reply. It just caught me off guard since it was my first hiccup with ST. I waited several minutes each time to see if it was a connection issue. I will keep playing and report back any additional concerns. Thanks!
