Just to let everyone know that we now have available our Fitness Golf demo and thought that many of you may want to give it a "shot". This is a full feature 21 day trial complete with 3 demo courses. To use the demo you need to have a current SkyTrak Game Improvement Package or Play and Improve Package. For those of you who want to try the Fitness Modes you can order the fitness hardware from our website links page and if these are purchased from Amazon and you are not interested in purchasing the full 160 course Fitness Golf software, you can return the fitness hardware for a refund. Make sure your computer also meets our minimum specifications as found on the SkyTrak site. The demo and user manual can be downloaded here:

fitness golfer Downloaded the demo. Just a couple of questions
In the setup what does the anti-alias setting do?
Also does club selection during play matter?

Ignore the club question found the answer from an earlier post.......

You can read about anti-aliasing here:
Your graphics card will usually allow for changing the anti-aliasing settings too. I'm not sure I notice much difference within the FG software by changing this setting so I would suggest just leaving this setting at 16xQ.

HI
Downloaded demo, connected Skytrak, red dot shows, try to go into GAME section, says no valid skytrak license.
My license expires in 23 days time, and the trial is only for 21 days.
Pity the demo took so long to arrive, as i just bought CG3D 2 weeks ago.
Wasn't sure my laptop could handle Fitness Golf, that's where the DEMO's are most help full when deciding to purchase something.
CG3D demo worked fine and not demanding at all on laptop.
Might buy fitness golf if i can try it first.
TGC etc the best, i know, but i don't need it.
thanks

HappyGilmore102 I accidentally uploaded a prior demo version that had a bug that wouldn't let you play Fitness Golf if you had less than 30 days remaining in your SkyTrak Game Improvement or Play and Improve package. I've uploaded the correct demo version, so you can either re-download the Fitness Golf demo from the above link or renew your SkyTrak license and this will tack on an additional year to what you have remaining. Sorry about that.

What is the difference between these 2 set of courses? If you buy the software from Skytrak, are the second set of courses available for play at no extra cost?
The full list of courses available for play with the Fitness Golf software can be found HERE.

The second set of courses is a subset of the first. In other words, of the 160 Fitness Golf courses we provide, ~ 100 of the courses are based on real courses. The links above that you have provided from our website are from the official website of the PC version of our software (where the swing is made with your computer mouse). We have changed the names of many of the real courses for our Fitness Golf software to avoid any licensing issues but have provided these links for those who wish to see the real course recreations available. Any new courses created will be available for all customers at no additional costs. One of the course architects is presently putting the finishing touches on The Prince course in Kauai. We also include a course creator for those ambitious enough to create their own courses.Originally posted by butette View PostWhat is the difference between these 2 set of courses? Maybe I am not looking at the right place, but I can't find the minimum recommended computer configuration in order to run Fitness Golf well. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Here you go:
If your computer doesn't meet our minimum specs, you can always try downloading the demo to see how well it runs on your computer.Last edited by fitness golfer; 03-02-2018, 06:28 PM.

You can also download the PC game for free so you can have a look at the courses, see what features are available and see how it fares on your computer specs-wise. I've done this and I like it. It's not as sophisticated as TGC or JNPG but if you want a sim with a one-off purchase cost and courses free to download then IMHO it's great value.

Yes, you can do this but it would be better to download our free demo. In addition to adding the Fitness Modes to the PC game version, we have also added/improved some features such as adding auto-putt. Also, the Fitness Golf/SkyTrak integrated version is slightly more graphically demanding so it is better to test the FG demo version to make sure it runs well on your systems.

This actually works really good on my laptop, which doesn’t even have a dedicated graphics card. Just a dell xps 12 i5. Strangely enough it actually registers shots considerably faster than the skytrak range. I don’t even have time to go pick up my ball if I want to see the shot. I have never used any other sim programs, so nothing to compare it to, but I am impressed so far.

Just a heads up, if you go to the site listed in this thread with the courses, you can download them and unzip them Into the course folder in the demo and play them. Tons of courses to try out including Augusta, St Andrews etc

Couple questions....
1. Is there no penalty when hitting from the rough? Noticed I could still hit a 7 iron around 160 even from rough lies on course.
2. What the heck is the stimp on the greens? Seems they're playing at about a 2 lol. I had to pound the ball for it to go about 20 feet in my room.

Each course designer adjusts the rough penalties and green speeds according to their preferences. So, just like in real life, you will need to play the individual courses to discover these settings. If you don't like the speeds of the fairways and greens on certain courses, you can always change between "soft", "normal", and "dry" under the course conditions settings when you load a course. Also, on the greens, make sure you bring up the green grid so you can see the slope of the greens. Obviously, if you are putting on a severe upslope you may have to hit it pretty hard.

Ok cool, I only had time to knock it around pebble for 7 holes. I'll try it out some more and see if I can get used to it a little more

I just realized there was an error in our user manual which said to adjust the "Ball Roll Friction Scaler" under "Game Options" to 2.0. This is a universal setting that sets the green speeds to their slowest. The manual now correctly says to adjust this slider under "Game Options" to your liking. I would suggest setting it in the middle at 1.50 and adjusting it up if the greens are too fast and down if they are too slow. Keep in mind that this setting will apply to all courses and if you just want to adjust the speeds for an individual course I would change the "Course Conditions" settings when loading the course as stated above.Originally posted by Jasonstanley View PostHa ha, I noticed that, I was using a driver to put, only kidding , good value game though

As the software is tied to one skytrak do you allow softwAre on multiple computers? Also a shame there aren't any challenges that come with it, it seems to me that all the companies are missing a trick here, people are gagging for short games, and I don't mean silly zombie games.

I downloaded it to my gaming PC and a lesser laptop that has a GeForce card and it connected to the skytrak and loaded the game on both to the first tee and showed the laser dot.

Yes, as he said, you can install the Fitness Golf software on multiple computers. We don't have any challenge games, but do have a variety of chipping courses, putting courses, and miniature golf courses to choose from.
