  • Please Put More Data on the Practice Screen

I really appreciate the addition of the shot optimizer screen but I find myself a bit disappointed with the user experience still. It seems to place more value on visual impact rather than function which is frustrating for me as a user who utilizes the ST as a tool for practice and feedback.

I understand there are probably reasons that SG would like to keep the screen visually appealing and not overwhelm a new user with numbers on the screen. Maybe an alternative screen with all the available numbers could be an option or maybe make the ball flight graphics visible with the shot optimizer graphics.

Am I in the minority here or would anyone else like to see more info in one place?

In the next version we are adding a shot counter, max height, and angle of descent to the range. Ideally, I'd like to make the display customizable, but that will come in time. Aside from that, from an overall user experience side of things, as we've been adding features I made the decision that you just can't do everything in one place. I know some people want it, but it becomes bloated and a bit overwhelming for the majority of users.

Hey thanks for the reply Seth. I hope my post didn't come off like I was crapping on the progress but as constructive feedback like it was intended. The shot optimizer is a welcome addition but I find myself not accessing it a much as I'd like because of how many clicks it takes to get back and forth.

Adding the height and angle of decent to the practice screen would cover most of the important missing info so that's great to hear.

I certainly understand that having everything on the screen at once isn't a great UI experience, especially for new users, so if it can be customized in the future that could be great.

      Thanks again.

I would suggest taking club speed off the screen since it is not accurate and putting something else there that you deem more useful. If you have skypro and it is more accurate then I think it's very valuable there. Think this goes back to being customizable in future. Good stuff.

This is great Seth. Max Height is actually a fantastic indicator in this age of odd lofts, low spin clubs. Better then having to do the extra clicks.

Seth keep up the great work on refining and adding features. SkyTrak is a great tool and I would recommend it to anyone.

I like the club data stuff but its a bit of a pain to have to click out of the range to see each shot unless you just hit while in the club data menu but then obviously you can't see the shot actually fly lol.

addition of an option to put club data on a second screen would be great
