Buying a Used SkyTrak

Do you have to inform SkyTrak you bought a used one? Or how does that work?

I just sold mine. I did not transfer/cancel anything upfront. I sent the unit to the buyer, then skytrak called me to confirm ownership change and they also transferred my remaining GIP package to the new owner.
