  • Skytrak wont connect to Tablet

    I can get the skytrak to work when plugged into a PC on USB. However, I cannot get anything to connect when going with a tablet (Samsung Note 10.1)

    It connects to the Skytrak wifi but the app doesnt detect the Skytrak.

    In attached pic is my settings, can anyone help?

    Seems like my mobile phone will connect without issue though?

      I was possibly having WiFi connection issues too and ALL shots not registering. Buying a WiFi extender to see if it’s network or software, tbd? Using iPad 2 and FIOS router. I use the unit in the basement and the router is on the main level.

      The app logs in, I get all green lights on the skytrak and no shots registering. Also tried iPhone 7 with same results. I called customer service, excellent by the way. I removed app, rebooted unit and worked for the session.

      Later in the day, I had the same issue, unit connects, phone connects but not a single shot registers. Any others out there? Ideas??

        It looks like your screneshots are showing your home network's Wi-Fi properties...not the SkyTrak's Wi-Fi. Are you trying to connect in direct mode or Network Mode?

          SkyTrak_Seth I’m still out of luck on getting the skytrak to register shots, it’s only worked the first day I took over the ownership! Around 15 shots, did work to perfection, accurate, etc.
          What can I post here that would be helpful for you or others to troubleshoot. I’m still working with your team which has been v responsive to date.

          I’m WiFi only (FiOS)
          -iPhone 7 and iPad 2
          -Skytrak 3.2.2
          -basement set up
          -lights on skytrak all green, sequence for shots green w laser, then red no laser, then green with laser.
          -post a swing in WGT it will say “calculating shot” and then it will say “unable to register shot” — I’m conscious of lights on unit, waggles, etc, I could swing 100x and get same result
          -in the skytrak app it’s nothing at all, it shows connected in network mode, lights on unit again confirm
          -I’ve tried adding WiFi extenders (two different types!)
          -without extenders network still reaching basement
          -I’ve tried brighter lighting and darker lighting
          -I’ve tried 2 different hitting mats
          -I’ve moved the unit and net 360 degrees for giggles
          WHATS NEXT?
          I’ve tried moving the unit and net 360 degrees

            Just to add firmware 1.7, unit level and I’ve tried with and without case, on the mat and off the mat.

              Could the camera be having trouble picking up the ball because of the whitish colour of the concrete wall behind you?
              I've had a similar problem before.

                I guess that is possible but I did rotate to have black behind me where the net is, tried that and it still did not register. The camera is seeing something, but gosh this so frustrating. At least Skytrak is supportive on troubleshooting. Calling them again this evening. Anything else?? I will ultimately post a solution, if one exists.

                  Sorry, I just responded to your PM. My guess is also that white concrete wall behind you. Can you hang a piece of black fabric on it behind your stance?

                    I am turning on the Skytrak and then using my Phone Wifi to connect to the skytrak directly, works fine with the phone but not the tablet?

                      I did try black fabric behind, moved unit around, even outside. Seems to read shot, calculate but not display results. Just joesn’t work, Skygolf looking at unit. Sent in today for diagnostic and repair. Second repair in a year. Fingers crossed it’s covered or cheap or nothing. If it’s nothing will probably have to sell the unit as it just isn’t made for my space. Will post resolution from Skygolf. Thx again.

                          Shout out to Skygolf. Flash PCBA (board) Replaced, recalibrated and unit worked this evening. Skygolf even extended the membership for 1 month. For people that have complained about service I wholeheartedly disagree. I did have to pay for the servicing of the unit and there was almost a shipping snafu but they were responsive, got it done. Impressed.
