    Skypro And Skytrak

    Hi guys

Just picked up a Skypro to use with my Skytrak. Been using it for about 3 days now and i find it very accurate.

I watched the youtube video by hybridme that showed that the Skypro's angle of attack readings where off at (12 down or something for irons, seemed way off).

But i'm happy to report that my angle of attack readings where right where you would expect them to be. I was getting

2 to 4 down for irons
0 to 4 up with the driver

all the other readings seemed very accurate to me, also my Skypro swing speed readings basically matched my skytrak swing speed readings, so im happy with the whole lot.

Its great to get accurate and cheap club data with the skypro and a 3d swing visual and added to the skytrak ball data, my golf has never been this fun and good in real life, cause now i can finally see what the hell is going on in my swing.

We'll see how long the skypro lasts, cause most reviews i read say that it breaks fairly quickly...............hope not.

Great to hear SkyPro works well. Keep us posted how it holds up and any issues. I am thinking of getting one in the fall/winter.

I have a SkyPro too and I’m happy with it, particularly for the price. Mine was 70 bucks, refurb on eBay. I’m a 16 handicap IRL and the accuracy is enough for me. It absolutely confirms some things I already know about my swing and some things I’d like to improve.

I really like the putting feature. I thought the Groove feature was sort of a gimmick before I bought it but now I really like that feature. It definitely helps you to feel a certain position in the swing because we all know what you feel isn’t always what’s really happening in the swing.

I wish I could figure out how to see the Skytrak range and the SkyPro data on the same screen. Might be able to cast the app to the computer and run them in side by side windows. But I haven’t tried that yet.

Wow nice that you got a good one. mine actually reads consistently -5 degrees off vs trackman. Which is fine since it’s consistent but required me to first compare to trackman. I wonder if it uses setup position as part of the calc. Could explain why some are biased low. Or it’s just a quality control issue. Swing speed was pretty accurate though.

I don't think mine is 5 degrees off in any direction. I got a few weird readings before I learned how to calibrate it correctly when moving from club to club.

Swing speed seems accurate for me too.

            HI Everyone

Just a quick shout out to all the guys having inaccurate readings with Skypro.

I think the problem could be the auto calibration of Skypro. I was too eager when i got my skypro to spend time calibrating it by holding it under my arm and swinging from side to side etc.....

I just lined the Skypro parallel to my clubs grooves (or driver face lines) like you would with a gramin truswing, and skipped through the auto calibration till it let me pick manual, selected a club and that was that.

I think the auto calibration might not be that great if you just place the Skypro anywhere on the shaft. I think thats why guys are getting crazy attack angle readings.

I've just been using an andriod tablet for skypro & ipad pro for skytrak so i can view both at the same time side by side on touch screens.

Data looks good, dont think i'll bother with all the hassle of trying to sync everything up through skytrak.
