  • Issues after Windows 10 update...

Following an unexpected Windows 10 update, I have the following issues:

Practice mode opens, but doesn't register any hits and none of the functions work (practice green settings, main menu, or club selection) and I can't even exit the session unless I crash the program.

Challenge mode works, but is extremely sluggish.

    System is a Dell 8700 i7 8GB.

    Any ideas?

Revert back to former version and disable your network adapter so you don't get a forced update. if you can't run standalone then just stall the forced update. There is a way to do that but I don't remember what it is.

I recently had a similar problem where Windows installed something called one drive which popped up every time I started the simulator. I went to programs and deleted it after I figured out what caused this to happen..

I think you're correct on this and I'll give it a try when I get off work (remove One Drive).

Unfortunately, I can't easily go back to a previous version of Windows.

Long story short, this is a replacement PC (off of Craigslist) for the garage unit that blew it's processor/motherboard. I can go back, but it's a long drawn out process without reverting to Win7 (originally installed OS). Yesterday, I had everything setup and tested it on version 3.2.2. I only hit a few balls, but had no issues. I shut my system off due to the garage temp (the possible reason my other pc fried). When I returned home later, I powered up the system and the windows update was already in the works...

      I appreciate the help!!

I had a hard drive crash so I went with a new hard drive and a new install of Windows 10, got everything setup and was trying to get com 4 to work when Windows informed me it had to shut down for an update, came back up with "Oops something went wrong unable to sign into your account." Had to start over from scratch this time I skipped the password login and One Drive. Having to reload everything but so far all is going well and system seems to be running faster, should be finished with most of my sims software shortly, then I will add of the stuff for my wood shop and other hobbies. I think one drive was causing the problems for me as well and slowing down my system.

Tried all of the above, plus a complete reset and fresh windows install.

          No change.
