  • Skytrak wont turn on after latest firmware update

    I turned my unit on after not using it for a month, it started perfectly then it asked to update software to the version 3.2.2

    I completed the download (64bit), started to install and said was doing a firmware update and unit would reboot.

    My unit didn't reboot.

    I now can't turn it on.

    The unit is fully charged.

    Are there any suggestion or how do I reset?

    Unit is 2.5 years old, has worked very well

    Did you ever resolve this?

    I haven't used mine in forever, just bought TGC and activated it successfully. Went into TGC and it seemed to work fine but I didn't hit a shot.

    Then fired up the original SkyTrak application which did a firmware update and now the unit does not boot... ugh.

    Tried using a pin to hold reset button but there are no signs of life.

      Update: this resolved itself.

      I had a feeling that it was not shut down completely.

      I left it unplugged for a while and eventually it ran out of battery. (1 day)

      Then pressing the button and it started back up, with low battery symbols.

      It seems like it is now working properly and I'm able to play all game modes.

      PHEW.

        aryantes Wow, that is bizarre... String_NZ have you tried that? I've not seen an issue with the firmware upgrades, but it sounds like something got corrupted. If draining the battery doesn't work, then you may need to send it in to have the firmware recovered (no cost to you of course).

          Hi Seth - It looks like I am having a very similar situation. When the ST is connected to power the bottom yellow light will be on and solid, but when I press the power button I get nothing. Then after a few minutes, and still connected to a power source, the bottom yellow light goes off. I tried connecting it to my computer directly to a USB port and I get the same behavior. However, my computer does notice that something has been connected or disconnected to a USB port because it will play a chime. I looked at my Device Manager, and nothing is there. I think I would typically see a RAPSODO USB Device listed.

          My ST has always worked perfectly, this has been my first issue. Maybe I did something wrong? Last night I was working on connecting it to a Shadow Cloud Gaming PC when this occurred. At first I was able to get it to work with my SkyTrak software, which was awesome, but then I went to start TGC when this behavior started. I also tried a hard reset with now luck.

          I'll let the battery drain to see if I can be lucky like aryantes. I'll let you know how that goes.

          If it does not work, can you help me with the firmware recovery?

        Sorry for the delay, haven't been using forum for a while.

        I rang the help line and was told would have to send unit back in for checking.

        Luckily it just started to work again, i not a 100% on why but think the battery needed a drain and required a full charge?

          Wow, can't believe a battery drain would have any effect on the unit functioning, but glad it is resolved regardless!
