Maybe u can post your set up pics here for some thoughts?
Set up can play a role from what I’ve found and discussed with Skygolf.

The other issue I have found is my iPad needs a full power down prior to using and connecting with Skytrak again. This is a new issue for me and realistically have no way of knowing whether it’s the device or skytrak. The connection hang is both WGT and the Skytrak software.

I’ve tried that too. Initially, it did help, but this work-around didn’t work anymore after a few times.

One thing to try is to completely delete the app before installing the new version (on the home screen, tap and hold the app icon until it starts to wiggle and display the 'x', then delete it and install from scratch). There should be no difference in shot capture or unit connection speed. If it isn't setup-related, then my guess would be a poorly coincidental hardware issue.

Seth, can you post instruction on how to roll back the SkyTrak software to older version on iPad? I’m still convinced that mine is a software issue. Since updating to v3.3 and iOS 12, the SkyTrak app would load up fine, and the shot would be registered (top light would turn from green to red and the red dot would disappear), but the app would just hang with no ball flight or any data displayed on the screen. I already tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. I tried it on 3 iPads and 1 iPhone, all same problem.

Again, I highly doubt it’s a hardware issue since I have ZERO problem with WGT. All the shots are still captured and displayed correctly with WGT.

happybob I just tested this on my iPad Air (iOS 12.0.1) running v3.3.1. I don't have any issues hitting shots and re-arming. Also when I turn off the unit while in practice, it connects back when I power it back on. Is this still an issue for you?

I sent in my picture to SkyTrak staff and they called in trying to help troubleshoot. We played and tweak the setup a few different ways. All in all, NO LUCK. I had sent my unit to them to take a look. I will report back what the issue it.

BTW, for happybob’s question. It was a hack to downgrade the iOS app. I’m happen to be a software engineer and found a way to hack into the App Store code to downgrade the app. I was able to successfully install the older version, but the problem remained.

I got my SkyTrak back from repair the past Monday. Their service is great. The repair note says they did a flash calibration. Upon receiving the return, I was able to enjoy my SkyTrak on Monday and Tuesday. However, bad news happened today (Wednesday). The unit doesn't send anyshot to the SkyTrak App again. Same old problem. I called customer service right away. They patiently helped me troubleshoot, but no luck at all. The customer service rep said he will check with a SkyTrak developer and see what else they can do. They will call/email me back today.

I heard @Alphaseekr had to send in his device 3 times this year. I have a feeling this is going to happen to me. fingers crossed.

Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. I actually just got copied on an email regarding your unit. I'll make sure it gets taken care of asap. Still sounds like hardware to me.

Whenever you install a new version of the app, the first loading takes some time as it has to install all of the scene assets. After that, it should be just as normal. On my iPad Air running iOS 12.0.1, my shot to show, app load time, and unit connection are all the same as previous versions.

One more thing to note is the initial data sync happening in the background after a fresh install...that can slow things down as well. Maybe try installing v3.3.1, opening the app and letting it sit connected to the internet for 5 minutes?
