  • Skytrak Evolution over the Years

Need help. I'm going to buy a used Skytrak and I want to make sure I'm not buying something that's outdated or had hardware issues. So, has the skytrak unit itself had any hardware updates over the years? If so, what year's should I avoid?

I understand firmware updates are always being released, so I'll update that asap. Any other issues i should be aware of?

I could be wrong, but like a GC2, the hardware really hasn't changed much if at all since its launch. I am not aware of any models that are better or worse than another. Only manufacturing variability should come into play theoretically.

The changes in the hardware have been nominal since day one. Aside from a few board components being switched out (due to price or availability), firmware updates have pretty much taken care of everything. I'd just make sure it hasn't been sitting for years without getting a charge.

Awesome great. So for the certified pre owned ones that you sell, are they mostly returns or are they refurbished damaged units?

They are either returns or demos.

Looking at an original Skytrack as my first launch monitor/simulator. Looking to stay sub $1000. As with the original post (been a few years), have there been hardware updates throughout the years (aside from the Skytrack+)?
