Left and Right Handed Setup

Any ideas for using a SkyTrak for both left and right handed? I can't use the "turntable / lazy susan" setup as my simulator area isn't wide enough. A left handed person has to hit on the far left of the hitting mat and a right handed person from the far right of the hitting mat. I currently have an R-Motion but am exploring the idea of getting something that is better at reading ball data as opposed to club data. Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

If you get a wider mat then you can have both players hit from the same spot and manually move the ST back and forth. Just need markers on mat where to set it each time. No offset would be required then.

wbond, with the mat being 10 feet wide, I should still be able to mark the mat and turn it around so that everyone hits from the center correct? I was just thinking if I had a swivel mat like this onemy problems would be solved. [url]https://youtu.be/-pUAtcXJE4c[/url]

But what I heard was the concern with this was you aren’t hitting in center and would have to go into the software (while playing a golf sim) for each persons turn to make that adjustment.

If you manually move the ST, then yes, both L and R hit from same spot and no need to make adjustments in the software for offset. If you just use a turntable, then i think you may need to have either L or R be offset all the time and the other would look a little off from where the ball hits. Probably doesn't matter much since ST has at least a 2 sec delay and GC2 has a slight delay as well, usually less than 1 sec, but it is there.

SkyTrak_Seth I purchased a 5x10 CCE Mat but originally I was going to purchase a wider mat. If I purchased a wider mat, wouldn’t I still have the offset issue that everyone mentions while playing right and left handers at the same time?

The room itself is 20 feet wide so I do have room if there are optimal solutions. My screen is 16 feet wide.

Do you use one (LH or RH) significantly more than the other? If so, i would align the one that is used most to have the impact and aiming reticule be the same. Then use a turntable for the ST and have the other one hit from a different spot. Since you have a ST and probably at least a 2 sec delay, it won't matter much that the ball doesn't take off from the impact location.

That would be ideal since you are maintaining center. So basically I could cut the mat on each side and with the actual metal case I could use the attached leveling feet so that I don’t need to put the wood boards underneath. The cutouts I make to the CCE mat should actually mimic the case. What are your thoughts on that approach?
