I've heard different things on where to place the unit when hitting driver. Do I keep it in the same location as irons and place the tee on the laser dot or do I place the unit at the same height as the ball?

And if you're a high ball speed hitter (>150mph) then it sometimes helps moving the laser dot around an inch in front of the tee.
Also be aware that at high balls speeds >160mph ish then the general consensus is that the Skytrak will show a few mph less than what it would on Trackman and therefore give you low carry distance.

For 90% of golfers, you put the ball on the laser dot for irons and 'stick the tee in the laser dot' for drivers. If you are above 150mph or using a white-headed driver, as suggested, you can try placing the tee about an inch behind (to the right/back in your stance/away from the target) the dot.
