    Skytrak Purchase in UK

    Hi all,

I want to take the plunge tomorrow and actually order a unit. To be honest I'll probably order tonight :-)

I thought there would be a fair few places to purchase the unit (+addons) from but there's a dearth of options really. Amazon brings up just one option and there's also Golf Swing Systems.

The best deal I can find for myself is from here: https://ukshop.skygolf.com/c-67-skytrak-packages.aspx which when coupled with a promotion code gives a further £200 off the package.

Just wondering if anyone has dealt with these before - I'm a bit wary about splashing out 2K on a site I dont really know.

I'm looking at getting the Unit and guard, and the Improvement package for now until I decide on exactly how much I want to spend on a garage build - which I'll be asking advice about later on :-)

I'm tempted to get the WGT pack that comes with it, as I'm impatient (I have a 42"" TV in my garage that I could use as a monitor at the moment) but would probably prefer to go for TGC option unless anyone can think of a good reason why not. I have the PC build etc and currently have JNG - just the pc game- - which I'd prefer to use, but am gutted that it wont work with Skytrak - is there a reason why?

    Anyway, any help appreciated

    Cheers

    Billy,

I think they’re the distributors so you’ll be ok buying from them (I just got mine from American Golf). If you’ve got a £200 off coupon, then you’re not going to get it cheaper than that.

I believe you can still get JNPG if you buy one second hand with it already on - there was one on here for sale recently.

The game improvement plan gives you a few approach shots on WGC, so you could try before you buy. It’s no more expensive to upgrade later. WGC might be iPad only - if you haven’t got an iPad, you should double check.

    Have fun

    Dan.

Hi Billy, that's the official UK shop for Skytrak. I bought mine through them they were really good, they normally ship next day so order today/tomorrow and you should have it by Thursday

        Hi Billy
I bought my Skytrak from there , you won't have a problem and £200.00 discount is good.
I had WGT when I used my Skytrak in the garden with a net enclosure but TGC is so much better.
There has been a change in the agreements with JNPG and the various sim options and if you buy a new Skytrak you will not be able to buy JNPG as the relationship between the software providers has ended.
As DannyMRICS has previously stated if you buy a used Skytrak that has a JNPG subscription attached then you can at this point continue to subscribe but how future proof that is I don't think anyone knows.
The PC Games are not simulator editions that is the big difference ....for example you can obtain latest TGC on steam but it is not the simulator version ...that has yet to be released.
It is generally believed that if you buy the current simulator version of TGC then you will get a free upgrade when the new sim version becomes available.
I just finished my build, I am in Edinburgh and I learnt a massive amount about building a sim from the contributors on this forum , this is a great resource and you can find most of the answers to anything here.
Pm me if you want to discuss or ask anything I can try to help.

For anyone looking to buy, you can use code HOTGOLF200 to get £200 off.

Guys thanks for the tips and advice. Ive just ordered (without the WGT) and am really looking forward to its arrival.

I don't have anything set up in my garage yet but it will be cleared out tomorrow after work. I currently have my bike and turbo trainer set up in there, but will have to do a bit of rearrangement with that. The rest of the stuff can be moved into my separate office area. I think I'm going to struggle for room in the garage especially with height but I've comitted to getting it to work now ;-)

Have played both TGC and JNPG and I would recommend JNPG over TGC if you want to play online miltiplayer because of the great community and people behind the tour. Look up the fb page on golf simulators and launch monitors Maybe I can help out.
