    Multiple users + GIP

I tried searching but didn't come up with a definitive answer regarding how multiple users are handled within Skytrak. The solutions I did find was to create an account for each user. I wasn't sure how this would work with the GIP package. Am I able to register the GIP with each individual account?

    Thanks

You don't need each individual to be connected to your GIP licence to use the SkyTrak and game improvement package... my daughter and I both use my SkyTrak. I have my account, where my SkyTrak and GIP is registered. I simply set up a free SkyGolf account for my daughter, and use her log in in the SkyTrak app, and it saves her sessions to her account just fine.

The only way I know of to have multiple users, and save any sessions separately is to log in and log out each time you switch hitting... this is not a great solution, but a solution nevertheless...

So let's say we both want to practice. I hit 20 shots while I'm logged in under my account name.... now we want to switch for a bit.... ummm... now I have to log out, log her in, select a club... etc... she hits 20 balls.. now we want to switch again... she logs out.. I log in... repeat... it's a pain in the ass honestly.

I gave up keeping our shots and session results separate. Too much of a pain diddling around with the different log ins. Wish there was a better solution, like having the ability to simply have a drop down box on the range to select different stored users, and save those results to their account.

So tonybrown32 , since your SkyTrak with GIP plan is tied to your account (I believe it can be tied to one account only? But please correct me if I'm wrong.), do you need to log in first each time so that the unit can fetch all the proper license files, then and only then can you log out of your account and your daughter can log into her account while still have access to GIP? And both can save shot data each person's individual accounts? Thanks.

Hi there.. I don't know the detailed workings of the account setups, but I suspect that although the device is associated with only one user account, the GIP plan license files must be associated with the device rather than the account holder login credentials. My daughter can log in independantly, and it will pull down all her history data. I do not need to log in first with my username/password. Once she logs in, it will pull down and display all her shot history. When she logs out, and then I log in, it will pull down all my shot history.

Logging in logging out works fine as a solution, but it's not optimal or convenient. I just wish there was a quicker way to switch users when we were practicing together, without having to log out/log in and rerestart the whole session.. if we swap places hitting balls say 5 times during a practice session, we will each have 5 different sessions logged.

Actually, I have 3 different accounts set up, with 3 different usernames/passwords, and all work fine with my SkyTrak and GIP. I have my SkyGolf 360 account where my SkyTrak is registered, another SkyGolf 360 account where I once registered an old SkyPro device (totally forgot I had a SkyPro once and already created a SkyGolf account for that, and created a new account when I got the SkyTrak... grrr), and then SkyGolf 360 account without any associated devices that I created for my daughter.

I hate when I forget which account/login I registered my SkyTrak under, since that's my main account now... occasionally I log in using the old account I created for my SkyPro, and wonder where the heck my history went... then I realize I need to use my other login... another reason I would like a dropdown to select different users or accounts in the software, to make switching users faster.

I have to say the whole SkyGolf 360 account process is not very user friendly or very intuitive...

I also read here recently that ability to select different users may be included in the next update so fingers crossed... looking forward to that, and happy to see SkyTrak continues to add features and updates.

Thanks for the information. I do hope that they add a pull down menu to change users in a near update. I started off with separate accounts but like you found it a pain. I just have everyone else hit "undefined" clubs and I am the only one to select which club to track history.
