Last night I purchased the $99 package that has to be done once a year. I need to connect the SkyTrak to my lap top to update the box itself. I remember last year or 2 years ago this process seemed to get more complicated. I remember having issues but got through them eventually. I tried to get the laptop to connect the the SkyTrak last night, and probably 15 times or so got a failure message. I tried different USB ports, and got the same issue. Is there a trick to getting through this update process?

I tried to connect the Skytrak in network mode. There was still 3 days left from the first time I connected in network mode. The Skytack software continued to say that my membership was about to run out. Today it says that it is expired. I purchased the $99 renewal last week, but the network mode connection did not transfer the new renewal. I just attempted to connect the Skytrak to my laptop again, but I still can not get a connection. This is the screen I keep getting.
Any ideas what to try next?

I would use the web, log in and check your Skytrak account to see if recognized the renewal. I do not recall using caddy express for Skytrak, I used to use that for the handheld GPS units. I also recall getting a number of emails providing clear indications of troubleshooting and confirming my upgrade.
I would just call customer service or use the text message service and they’ll sort it for you. Excellent customer service based on my experiences.

Ah, I see the problem. You don't use Caddiesync to update your Skytrak license. Here's all you need to do:
1) Purchase the membership (done)
2) Open the SkyTrak app while connected to the internet and let the data sync (~30 seconds)
3) Connect the SkyTrak unit to the app.
Once connected, it will write the new membership files to the unit during the license check.
