How do you know if you've reached that 25k number if they don't tell you how many shots have been hit anywhere?
you send your skytrak in at the 11 month mark for service and they deny it and say you went over the shot limit. How would you even know if that was true?

        Hi All,

I talked with Seth and he believes they have a corrupted server database that is overwriting the internal SkyTrak shot counter. They had this same problem a couple of years ago and corrected it so hopefully they can do the same again. Once they do, I assume the Fitness Golf software will correctly show your individual SkyTrak's total shot count.

I can’t say anything about fitness golf total shot count but I do have protee play and it says total shots hit is 1361681. I’ve had skytrak since December 2014 and the unit I use now since December 2016 as my original developed a technical fault and I know I’ve never hit that many balls in two or four years as I like most other sim owners only use it during the winter months. I will download the demo and compare numbers though.

Just download the demo and the total shot numbers do match up. Still not convinced that they are correct plus I don’t really care if they are.

And we are being told your unit's value is less than mine with only 15,000 "shots".... where's the facepalm emoji when you need it lol

That's what my complaint was earlier. It makes absolutely no since. Like getting a 50k mile warranty and they don't install the odometer for you to see it. My six month warranty is up in March..... but have i already hit 25k balls, how would i know?.... lol it just makes no since. And like i asked earlier, does this supposed ball counter only count balls when you are in Skytrak driving range or does it also count balls you hit in TGC?!

Hey all, let me try to clear things up.

First, there is a bug in the shot counter that is displayed in Fitness Golf (it's on our side and has to do with sync with 360). The unit actually has the correct shot count stored in another location, so it's simply a display issue within Fitness Golf. I'm working to correct this.

Next, as someone else mentioned, I don't think shot count is a great way to determine value on the used market. You could have a unit with 50k shots that has been well taken care of up against a unit with 1k shots that has been abused. Of course, hardware components can and do fail at any given time on occasion, but there isn't anything on the unit aside from the battery that is really affected by frequency of use. Just as with any other device, you must keep the battery charged fairly consistently. You can't just stick the SkyTrak in a closet for a year - it will kill the battery's ability to hold a charge.

I keep mine plugged in most of the time. Seems to charge for a while then shut down. Seems to only charge when it needs to.
Have been doing this for a while now...couple of months. I hope this is not harmful to the battery. Hasn't been so far.
