If it's a hardware problem, they could fix it with a software update. If it's 3 mph off with 160 mph ball speed, then they could do a software update that would add 3 mph to the reading at that ball speed and if it's 5-7 mph off with 180 mph ball speed then add 6 mph to ball speeds at that range. Then the ball speed issue would be solved.
