I am finishing up my simulator build and one of the questions I have is do people use a dual monitor output from their computers (Monitor and Projector)? I'm thinking of putting in a touch screen monitor to use the Skytrak and TGC software to maybe help aim/align? I'll need each monitor to have different resolution I think as I'm doing a 1600 x 1200 on my projector to get better size for TGC and Skytrak, but I would probably do 16:9 on any new touchscreen monitor. Is there anything to consider or just plug and play?
Using a Projector and Monitor

Im also using both projector and monitor. You can have your displays mirrored so that they both show the same thing or you can have your desktop extended so that you have the Skytrak on one and another app running on the monitor. I sometimes use video software to record swings while using skytrak. Works great.

I ran into some issues while doing exact what you are about to. My projector is 4:3 native 1600x1200 and my touchscreen is 1920x1080. I got black barS on the sides of the touchscreen and the touch-function didnt take that into account so the touches read very badly. After a couple of hours fiddling with different software I ended up just ”streching” the 4:3 clone from my projector to get it to work.
another issue is that i need to lower the resolution on my projector to 1400x1050 to be able to ”fit” the resolution on the touchmonitor. If i go any higher it wont stay that way, only jumps back to a lower res. This is probably because of that the monitor only have 1080pixels? I really dont know.
If you find a better solution please give me a bumpLast edited by G4zzel; 01-10-2019, 10:03 PM.
