fitness golfer I’ve read a lot of posts on this software and I’m currently trying the software with SkyTrak. Physics look good and I like some aspects of the game play. What is the software development cycle? Any new updates or enhancements planned? The graphics, menus (ease) could use a refresh. Thx.

We've already done two updates with minor enhancements. Future enhancements will be dictated by user demand/requests and product sales, but we are certainly open to doing these. A major upgrade to the graphics is not likely at this time. Keep in mind that we have multiple users that own all of the simulator packages for SkyTrak and prefer to use Fitness Golf the most. Just like any of the simulator softwares, there is a learning curve to adjusting the graphics settings within the Fitness Golf settings so the courses look as good as they can on your individual system. Providing incredibly realistic play on 161 courses, many of which are world famous, for the present discounted price of $299 makes Fitness Golf seem like a great value to us!Originally posted by Alphaseekr View Postfitness golfer I’ve read a lot of posts on this software and I’m currently trying the software with SkyTrak. Thx. Probably looking at this for golf only. I will post some feedback but immediately noticed missing post shot measurements/analysis. Would be nice to see the green grid auto size for greens (or a smaller set size) and have an auto setting when on green or within 20-yards. It’s nice software

I just downloaded the demo and I must say that for the price, I think it it a good product. Some of my thoughts as I quickly installed and did 9 holes:
- During the player creation, why do I need to select 13 clubs? I only have 12 in my current bag. Also why no hybrid?
- I had no misreads in my 9 holes
- Driver seemed a bit short; might be nice to have a boost option per club (for each user)
- As others have already suggested, it would be nice to have the swing analysis up after every shot (or the option to turn it on)
- The fonts could be more bold to make them easier to read
- Are there any par 3 kid's courses?
I'll play the demo for a bit and may end up purchasingLast edited by thorin33; 01-23-2019, 01:05 AM.

fitness golfer the gc2 Bluetooth info is unencrypted, all that is needed would be an interface to collect the data and transfer it to your software. That’s how they have so many unsupported options available for 3rd party software.

That is what I thought .....is there any need to involve Foresight at all....if the interface was built Fitness Golf could sell direct to GC2 users. I myself have Fitness Golf and it is great for the money. I have just upgraded to GC2 from Skytrak and will be extremely sorry to lose the ability to use the software. The software offers great value for the 160 simulated courses alone before you even take into account the fitness aspects . It is a great way to get into Simulated play at a reasonable cost....
Fitness Golf how about it....?

I agree with others here. No need to involve foresight. Other sim software work perfectly through an interface. I'd buy the fitness golf for that price if I could use it with the GC2. Would be perfect to use with my older laptop when I dont feel like lugging my desktop outside and I wouldn't need to be connected to the internet either which could come in handy at times.

I may look into this but I'm not convinced the market for Fitness Golf is that large for GC2 owners. Maybe the GC2 owners that would be interested in purchasing Fitness Golf at the current SkyTrak price point could chime in here to sway me to pursue this?Originally posted by Kmurray View PostThat is what I thought .....is there any need to involve Foresight at all....if the interface was built Fitness Golf could sell direct to GC2 users. Thanks for the response. As an existing owner of the lifetime license for Skytrak I would be prepared to pay for an interface that enabled me to use it with my GC2 upgrade. I really like the software , it offers great value and a cost effective route into sim golf. It may be difficult to gauge the interest for GC2 owners because until you have actually tried the software you can't really tell how good it is......
160 courses plus ranges for a low fee.....and in addition the fitness aspect of the software is unique.. what is not to like about that....it actually makes FSX which is an option for GC2 owners look ridiculous , which it is in terms of pricing ,content, features and value for money.
My personal view is that if you were to make it available you may be pleasantly surprised,

Sure. Comments:
1. The club selection exists for the PC version of the game in which the swing is controlled with the mouse. Because the SkyTrak is entirely recording ball data and sending it to the Fitness Golf software, the club selection has nothing to do with the ball flight. Within the FG software, choosing how far on average you hit various clubs is still helpful because these club distances will show up in the mini-map to help you decide which club you may want to hit to avoid trouble.
2. If you have any misreads with any of the simulation softwares this should entirely be dependent on your SkyTrak since the simulation softwares (including FG) simply take this Skytrak data and create the ball flight.
3. I own all of the SkyTrak simulation softwares and I feel that my total drive distance is short on all of them compared to real life. I feel that teeing the driver up high helps with this. You can also increase your total driver distance within the FG software by changing the course conditions to "Hard" and/or adjusting the friction control slider.
4. We may add the swing analysis option if enough users want this. This isn't practical for the Fitness Golf modes because this is a timed mode. For the Golf Only mode, I guess we are really trying to create a real-life golf experience. For example, work your kinks out on the driving range (or SkyTrak App), and then take it to the simulated courses where your shot results give you all the same feedback you would get in real life.
5. Not sure what you mean about the fonts being difficult to read. This sounds like you need to adjust the brightness and contrast settings within the FG graphics settings. This is simple to do.
6. Yes, we have multiple miniature golf courses, putting courses, pitch and putt courses, par 3 courses, short courses, and the vast majority of the regulation courses have multiple tees which often include ladies tees and/or junior tees.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the comments above fitness golfer .
Regarding:
4. I found that the words at the bottom of the screen are hard to read.
6. Do you have a listing of the courses that shows descriptions of the courses? With 160 courses, it would be nice to filter my tee boxes, type (par 3/short/pitch & putt/etc).

If you have the brightness and contrast set correctly and are having trouble reading the fonts at the bottom of the screen this sounds like a focus issue with your projector. If only the fonts at the bottom of the screen are out of focus this may be because of your projector keystone correction and you may need to adjust the projector focus for the bottom fonts or adjust your keystone correction.Originally posted by thorin33 View PostThanks for the comments above fitness golfer .

We don't have the courses broken down that specifically, just the list found below. I can tell you that of the 161 courses, 148 are regulation length with 137 of these having multiple tees. The remaining 13 courses are made up of a driving range, 2 miniature golf courses, 2 putting courses, 3 pitch and putt courses, 3 par 3 courses, and 2 shortened length courses.

With regards to the font, I think it's just my eyesight going on me....on the joys of aging.
Would you be able to list the 13 courses? I think I am going to go ahead and purchase but don't want to have to go through all 161 courses.
Thanks

A little more time with the demo, in addition to all comments above;
-would like to see an auto fly-by setting
-noticed some course layouts off and impactful, such as Carmel Beach hole #8, from the tee box you cannot see the hole or fairway, hill obstructing the view (maybe bc I had a gold tee box setting?)
-auto connect to Skytrak, you have to manually connect

Comments:
1. If you want to see a flyby all you have to do is hit the "Flyby" button at the bottom of every screen. I think it would be much more annoying to have an auto-flyby on every hole for those that wouldn't want to see it.
2. I've played "Carmel Beach" #8 and you can't see the green from the tee because it is so far below you. I also believe the far end of the fairway is not visible because of the knoll at the top. The mini-map should show you everything you need to see or you can use the keyboard arrows to move anywhere on the hole you would like to see. Certainly, in real life you may have many holes where you can't see the tee-shot landing area or the green. Keep in mind, there is a course creator for FG so any user can create their own courses if they wish to take the time to do it.
3. I'm pretty sure SkyTrak requires a manual connect to the FG software because the software company that integrated the FG software with the SkyTrak hardware does most of the simulation software integrations for SkyTrak and I believe they were following what they were required to do. We find the connection process to be at least as quick as with the other simulator software partners.
