Hi,

It's not a great picture i'm sorry. I have a laser line going along the skytrak alignment dots and also an alignment stick going along the front of the unit itself. There is about a foot between them on the net itself. Which should I aim at? or in between them? :-)

Most people align to the skytrak unit itself and not the alignment lasers as they could be misaligned. Skytrak took the alignment feature out at one point as they said it wasn’t reliable but later added it back due to demand.

Aim at the laser light on your screen since you will be putting the ball on the dot. As Colin said, most use an alignment rod on skytrak FMJ. I would recommend hitting at the laser line on your screen and turning your unit till it measures a direct hit with a +- 2 degree side angle. Your unit looks too closed to target. You could also laser line center of your screen then measure 12" to edge of case as a starting point. That will square the unit to the target line.

Supraracer colinjm18 cheers for your replies. I will go and give your suggestions a bash shortly. For me the main odd thing was that the laser dots and the alignment stick on the unit were not even close to being the same spot

Mine were not either. My unit is turned slightly toward the target line by 2 degrees. I can see the dimple on the screen and know where it should have started. I can further verify by slow mo camera playback.

The alignment rod is clearly showing your unit in a closed position. The laser is dead straight, but the rod line is not parallel to that laser. If you hit to the laser plum line, Skytrak would register as push.

Yep. I'm really frustrated. I've just come in from hitting balls and too be honest the alignment stick is the line to hit on. BUT...I spoke to Skytrak support today who said to use the Alignment stick and I also spoke to the people that sold it to me and he said use the alignment dots! Good advice gets you in a whirl. So I was having a practice just now aligned to the unit and I'm more confident with it.
Do the ProTee units have any similar issues? I think that might have been a better way to go but that is only because of the lack of confidence in the Skytrak and not based on knowledge! It probably is just user error with the Skytrak.
