Ball placement for putting

where to place the ball in relation to the dot I want to know. Trugolf I am using.

I personally place it around 8 inches to the right of the dot. I use the dot as my spot and roll it over the spot. It works great for me and when I putt outdoors i spot putt too.

Today I check it and placing 8 inches before Red dot help me with putts.

I put the ball on the red dot and push it slightly forward diagonally towards the SkyTrak unit until red light is shining on the golf ball. That works very well for me and I have very few misreads while putting. I stole this idea from someone else on this forum.

I have problem with reading short putts. With your ball position 8 inchrs to the right from red dot or diagonally forward towards to the SkyTrak you do not face such problems?

Im not really reading putts. I use the spot so it keeps my putting sharp for outdoor golf. On the sim im just trying to get the right speed. I determine my break with the pc. Im not sure im understanding you completely.

In my case I have to repeat several times puts shorter then 1 feet till SkyTrak read/record it.

Oh. I haven't putted that short much. Im set up with 6ft gimmies 99.9% of the time
