  • Skytrak low spin numbers with wedges

Hey guys I have had my skytrak for a couple weeks now and I seem to have very low spin for a pitching wedge around 2200. The odd time it will read anywhere from 7000-9000 but very rarely. I am not an expert golfer by any means and have never checked my spin numbers on a different launch monitor but do those seem extremely low? Or am I just not hitting the ball correctly? I am hitting off a fiberbuilt flight deck.

There is a huge difference in golf balls regarding back spin readings! You definitely want to use the ball you play with out on the course, and try to keep them relatively fresh. There's a 1500 rpm difference with my 6 iron between a Bridgestone and Pro-v.
