Anyone experience this?
TL;DR- has anyone seriously found a good way to align their Skytrak while in the FMJ? Is my FMJ potentially out of square? Has Skytrak been known to replace these if they are defective?
When I go into alignment mode, the system disconnects without even showing the additional dot. It goes red top bar the yellow middle bar and then gets stuck in a reconnect cycle. Never getting the alignment feature to actually work.
Now hear me out... I know this isn’t the best way to align but I have no idea what else to do. I’m on an angle in my room so I can’t align off of any right angles. I’m not good enough at geometry (maybe this trigonmetry?) to figure out how to create the proper angles to get this right.
I have the FMJ, and my eyes simply don’t trust what I’m seeing. I feel like the unit is square to the protective face, but when I place and alignment stick, much like another poster noticed, there is no way the stick holder is square.
Ive noticed after a lot of trial and error that’s easier to just eye it up, which is fine for now, but it starts to drive me crazy when I’m 100% hitting to left of “center” but Skytrak says it was center. This could be the +/-2 HLA, but then I would have serious question marks surrounding that claim, as my unit seems to be closer to +/-3 or 4 HLA.
