  • Problems with SkyTrak + TGC2019 in Network Mode

I am having trouble getting my SkyTrak in Network Mode to connect with the SkyTrak Interface that comes with TGC2019. Everything works in USB mode and Direct Mode, but when I put the SkyTrak into Network Mode, the SkyTrak Interface gives the error message "box not found" when I hit the "connect box" button.

The SkyTrak has no trouble connecting to my router, and is then assigned a local IP address. I can successfully ping that IP address. Also, the SkyTrak App works perfectly in Network Mode. I've tried disabling my firewall, but that didn't help. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any ideas on a fix?

Is your network 2.4 or 5ghz? Skytrak must run on 2.4 only. Also, make sure you are not running the skytrak software at the same time, it will not work

My network is 2.4ghz b/g/n, and the SkyTrak App has been closed when I try to connect.

Have you used just the skytrak computer app and skytrak in network mode?

Make sure you do not have your computer set up to auto connect to either your ST or your network. I had this issue multiple times. At some point when my ST makes its connection to my computer and I am not saying this happens to all but it does to me. When it makes its connection if I have my computer set up to automatically connect to my internet it goes into some kind of loop I can not get out of. I shut the auto connect off. Now I start my computer then manually connect to the internet then start the app and the ST unit. It connects everytime when I do this in network mode. Then I can go into TGC or TGC2019. When doing this check your computers running tray to see if the connection is all ready up. When you click on it there will either be nothing or a red or green shield. If nothing you should be able to connect using the app. If its green click on it and your good to go if it's red click on it and connect. Or I sometimes find it is just easier to right click the shied and shut it down then start with the app itself.

My internet connection is actually a wired ethernet connection, so I don't have anything set to automatically connect.

OK, it's working now. I was able to get everything working by using the interface for the R-Motion/SkyTrak combo. ProTee Support sent me the new installation executable, and everything worked perfectly the first time. I don't have a R-Motion, so I just ignore those settings/functions. The new interface still works with the SkyTrak and TGC2019, and it has no trouble connecting in Network Mode.

Thank you for all your help guys, it's very much appreciated. This forum is the best

You literally just beat me to it...I just finished testing this and couldn't find an issue, so it must have been due to the old interface. Glad they got you sorted!

I am having the same issue.

The 1.46 interface enabled me to connect via USB, but I have no idea how to do so via WiFi.

The SkyTrak app is turned off.

I had no problems connecting to Network mode for the SkyTrak app.

As soon as I take out the USB the interface says the box is no longer connected.

The SkyTrak no longer appears in my list of available WiFi networks.

        Help!

          Further to this ...

If I leave the SkyTrak unit connected via USB and click on Play Game . . . the interface closes and the game doesn't open!!
      Working...
