At this point, everything is out of my hands. It's incredibly hard to come on here knowing that I can't provide the answers you are looking for on software and the inevitable backlash that is sure to follow with each post that doesn't give you those answers. But I do continue to post instead of hiding because there are other matters I still can help with. When I have news on software, believe me, you will be the first to know about it. Until then, please stop the personal attacks on me and our development teams. This is not a matter of competency.

It's fair for me to have high expectations for a company I've given thousands of dollars to.
I read what Seth was saying--there were significant delays due to GDPR requirements and security concerns. Those sort of things need addressing and are the cost of doing business. I totally understand that.
Now that those changes have gone well beyond a reasonable timeframe, the story has changed. There is an unknown factor that Seth cannot share with us. SkyTrak doesn't want to share this information and they don't feel they owe that to their customers--that's a business decision.
At this point it's fair to assume there is something much larger at play but pestering Seth is not the right way to go about getting information--sorry, Seth. -
One thing I'll never understand is why the security updates needed to stop all other bug fixes and features? A well staffed engineering team could easily be working through those things while others, for example, are finishing off adjustments for ball speed fixes (that were in robotics testing 7 months ago). Why was GDPR so tied to the graphics updates that were part of 3.4? The lack of updates just seems so deliberate it forces your customers to be suspicious.

Nice rant SkeetShooter! What the heck is GDPR? Privacy related? It's been twenty years of continuous new policy and programming: the turn of the century, SAP implementation (that was all hopeless non-working not understandable BS until management finally buckled and hired higher level SAP consultants at $600/hr), network security (actually requires 24/7 human monitoring to back up the security programs against attacks), network security again for the electric and gas utility systems (plus hardened anti-terror housing and remote backup), what's next?, was it Sarbanes-Oxley? Then...what? LOL -

And, why does Facebook allow scamming ads, such as camper trailer for $139 with free shipping, or a pellet feed smoker, three levels, temp controls for $78. And if you check out one of these ads, your feed becomes infested with all the other scam ads.

I never called them incompetent I just said it was one of those 3 things. My guess is there is an X factor we don't know about.

SkyTrak, however, is a commercial and for-profit organization and as such is subject to an appropriate level criticism. And, it's hard to argue against that it's been a while since there has been much hardware innovation in this part of the market, and the commercial orgs at the center of our universe have been relatively quiet lately.Comment

Agree, however, this forum is not an official Skytrak offering and Seth is under NO obligation to participate. Considering he is willing to be available as a resource, we should, at least, maintain a certain level of professionalism. Similarly, skytrak (and Seth) have likely benefitted from this forum. Perhaps will be the first to know of the next move? Just got an email that E6 connect has a labor day special. Maybe trugolf and skytrak will make a joint announcement soon.
