New owner of SkyTrak with Play and Improve Package.
I’m building a simulator area in my garage (should be finished this week) and decided to test that all of my licences etc are set up and active on my Skytrak and iPad. So, all of the below is being done with the unit just sitting on my desk, not set up / aligned or being tested with club/ball.
I’ve been through the registration process to activate the Skytrak unit (purchased with Game improvement package under the Father’s Day offer).
All worked fine after resolving a few simple issues.
I then upgraded to Play and Improve via the website and this has activated on the Skytrak unit and all connects fine with my iPad (Air 2) in Network Mode.
I then started and registered WGC Golf on my iPad, and got it connected to the Skytrak through a network connection. All good so far.
If I then start the home page 'Tournament' (Royal St Georges), the Skytrak goes into Play mode and starts the laser.
However, if I try to start up a Strokeplay (i.e. Solo) round via ‘Game Modes’ at any course within that option, all of the course modes (i.e. front 9/back 9/full18 and even the CTTH) are greyed out with the message “Unlock stroke play through Skytrak!”. I've tried multiple ways to resolve this, without success.
It ‘feels’ like it's something to do with the WGC software not picking up that I've paid for 'Play and Improve Package'... Anybody else had similar issues?
I’ve sent a summary of the issue to the SkyTrak support email address after their Live Chat service failed to resolve yesterday.
[I do know that many don’t like WGC, but I thought it would be a good start point for me to get going, and I’ll then look at E6 etc once I’m happy with the rest of the setup].
