  • First experience with WGT Golf sucked

I got my Skytrack for Christmas, so stoked! I've used it almost every day and it's been awesome. I probably hit close to a thousand shots with it and it read every single shot I hit! I never placed the ball in any special position, I just used the club to roll any ball over to the dot and hit. The only shots it didn't read were my kids two shots that were horrible. It read around 15 other bad shots he hit so I was very impressed, until this evening when I tried out WGT after hitting at the range section.

That's a whole different story. I probably hit 50 shots trying to play four holes. I tried moving the ball all over. I tried different clubs. I tried the soccer balls. It just wouldn't read anything I tried. I mean, it did read some but I'd say one out of 12??? Same position as before, level, ect.

What's the deal, does the WGT program just suck or am I missing something?

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Play well.

Well, I’m not sure what was going on the other day but WGT was working great today. Used a bunch of different types of balls and didn’t place them in any special position with the exception of placing the driver shots behind the dot. I played out the 9 holes that I couldn’t finish the other day and it only didn’t read one time.

It was fun but it’s going to be a learning curve playing sim golf.

WGT has very little customization so I also feel it sucks. I suggest getting TGC 2019. A little pricey but worth it for all the courses and customization. Because of my room size I have to hit off center and TGC allows you to move offcenter just like the SkyTrak range.

I've been debating when to make that purchase.  I know I want it I just have to decide when...  Right now I'm just hitting off a mat into a net while looking at my iPad so would it be worth it?  I've got an TV I can use but it's going to be another six months before I'll have my dedicated sim room completed.  I more or less was entertained by using different clubs while poking it down the fairway....like a blind player.

Now I'm having connection trouble with the ST.  First time for that for me.  Even having troubles with connection on the Range.  As soon as I hit, the dot goes away and then the unit saying connecting to ST even though it was just connected.
    Working...
