  • Skytrak- Power Issues

Hi to everyone. new kid on the block. Just bought a Skytrak for a garage setup. Having battery issues and hoping to resolve them by plugging USB into power outlet while connected wirelessly so that the unit is powered. I have heard that at one point this (connecting to any power supply while playing) was giving people problems. Does anyone know if these problems have been fixed? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Look forward to dialoguing with all of you down the line!

I had your exact same setup for two years in my garage without issue. Battery was going down quickly, so kept my Skytrak plugged in and it worked great. My only issue was the occasional wifi weirdness.

You’re better off just going direct usb to the computer. Let it charge and have the direct connection for internet to eliminate any network disruptions. You’re plugged in anyways so may as well have a better connection.

I am using wireless IPad as video output No compute involved so have to go this route. Im not saying it isn't going to work but I am worried about it based on some of the past feedback.

I would suggest a relatively permanent usb cord. My SkyTrak's usb connector has got wonky after two years. I keep it plugged in and provide a tee support near the connector so it doesn't fall out.
