  • Connection Issue - Only Bottom Yellow Light Illuminates

    My ST box has stopped communicating with my laptop in Direct Mode and seems unable to turn on. The app opens, shows me as logged in and goes to the "Looking For Connection" screen, where it stays. The bottom yellow light on the ST lights up but the others do not illuminate. The USB port on my laptop is working, the cable charges the ST, and the bottom yellow charging light comes on when my laptop is turned on, and goes off when the laptop is shut down. The ST is also not visible in the list of devices seen by my Wi-Fi. The ST box will also not connect using the TGC interface.

    Trying a hard reset and re-downloading the ST software had no effect.

    Perhaps the on-off button has failed internally? There is no "beep" sound from my laptop when I depress the button, which I seem to remember used to occur.

    I'd welcome ideas for resolving this.

    ST support advises likely battery failure. Unit is 4 years old. Will be sending it in to ST for definitive diagnosis and repair.

      They should have made the battery at least replaceable for the consumer without having to send it back in.
