So I have a question seems to be related to this thread. I have an optishot and I feel like I’m ready to go to a better more accurate simulation. Research done so for: skytrak next best pretty expensive but I live in Wyoming I can only golf at our local course (40 miles always still) for 4 months with good weather. So I was looking at a USED ST. (Is that a good idea warranty reliability all that) and I was trying to find the next best in expensive option for courses. So I was thinking a one time payment to the golf club seems to be the best deal. (Please let me know thoughts on that will be a party toy and a game improvement playing in winter months.) so after all that. I think it’s close to 2500 bucks do you always every year have to pay the $100 for the GIP or the PIP for the unit to work at all?

Ok I’ll look into that I have about all the space I need I’m just trying to find the most cost effective setup as possible and 100 a year I think I can talk wife into it. I’ve never heard of the Mevo+ I’ll check that out.
That was the appeal of the Optishot all for free after purchase you can enter a tournaments play 15 free courses. And what not. So the 170,000+ courses for 890 for the golf club didn’t seem to bad.
appreciate the input new to the forum and new to simulation.

I believe you can also purchase an extended warranty for a used SkyTrak as long as you purchase the warranty within 7 days of purchasing and registering it online.
The Mevo+ and SkyTrak are going to be your best cost effective options. The SkyTrak doesn't require a huge room to utilize it (as long as you can swing a club you are good). The Mevo+ requires 8 feet of ball flight (Don't quote me on that, but I know it's somewhere in that ballpark) to capture the shot so it would require a bit more space. SkeetShooter provided the other info I would have added to get you started.
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them as I am a SkyTrak owner as of early February so I'm still fairly new, but did a ton of research before purchasing it.
