  • SkyTrak on TV or Only iPad?

I am looking to buy a SkyTrak and hook it up to a TV to play courses? Which package do I need? It seems like the top package with WGT says iPad only? So, I can't show it on a TV instead of an iPad?

You need some computer, iPad, phone that can process the data from the Skytrak. iPad is needed (iOS) for WGT and you can get an adapter to display it on a TV or through a projector.

Other options like TGC need a gaming computer.

But for just the Skytrak range you need their app to run on something first before display on a monitor.

So, if I don't want to do the course but just basic range data, but I need an iPad for that? I'd rather for courses get TGC and using my gaming comp.

The driving range can be run on an iPad, computer or even a smartphone. You don't need a very powerful computer to run the driving range. If you want to start playing actual rounds of golf, you will need a more powerful computer.

WGT is only compatible with iOS. TGC is compatible only with PC. Here are the computer requirements for TGC:

OK, so what SkyTrak plan do you suggest I get? The highest one WITHOUT WGT?

To play TGC or any other simulator, you need the $99/year plan at least. The $199 plan gives you the ability to play WGT

Other simulators will cost more either upfront or annually

OK, so looks like I can just buy the launch monitor and then the plan separately. Correct?

There are Apple lightning to HDMI converters so you can send the iPad screen to a TV or projector (with HDMI input). About $20-30.
