  • I Did it! Got Skytrak connected to e6

Short version: I’ve owned a Skytrak for almost two years now and I finally got it working in network mode and connected to e6 demo!

Long version: just after I bought my Skytrak (pre-owned) my club announced they were putting in two Tru-golf simulator suites with all the bells and whistles. I just used my Skytrak at home with an iPad and the driving range since I knew I’d never compete with $250k of simulators. Fast forward to today and since I’m in Michigan we won’t be playing golf anytime soon. So I put a Google Wifi puck in the garage and got connected in network mode and downloaded e6 to my iPad. After logging in I played my 1st round in my garage yesterday! I’m using an older iPad so the lag is pretty terrible but hey it’s golf!

I played 9 holes with old clubs I had in the garage (don’t have a lot of confidence in my computer skills), an old 3wd, used a 2 iron as a putter, a 8 iron and a rusty old 60* wedge. Ordered a Benq projector (MX819) on eBay last night and now I’m searching for a gaming computer and an impact screen!

Anyone have any experience with the refurbished Dell gaming pc’s on the bay? A good number of them are located in metro Detroit making me think they might have been used as CAD workstations at the auto companies.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the contributors here and share a small win.

I just bought an MSI GE75 Raider 17” gaming laptop From Costco for $1300 and it runs my Skytrak with E6 Demo great. Had to rename my network to get the Skytrak to connect(it didn’t like the special character in my network name- that was preventing the connection. Also added to switch to 2.4 network from 5)
