Skytrak simulation packages

Hi Guys - after some advice please

I have given in and purchased a pre-owned Skytrak unit to use until the Mevo+ is delivered as i canrt wait any longer

It currently doesn't come with any software subscription - im thinking im best to subscribe to the 'Skytrak Play and Improve Plan' (minimum 1 year) - then sell the remainder of the subscription along with the unit when the mevo+ arrives. Assuming the new owner can have the subscription in their name?

Then i would be able to play the 11 WGT courses via my iPad?

This would be fine for the next couple of months

Unless there is a better/cheaper alternative or any gotchas i need to look out for?

The subscriptions can be transferred to the next owner.

With the Skytrak, you need to have at least the $100 package to play any sim. WGT requires the $200 package. (Both are good for 1 year)

e6 and fitness golf both offer 1-month free trials, so if your Mevo is coming relatively soon, you could maybe just use those until it comes. (Do one demo and then once that runs out do the other one. That way you'll get 2 months of free golf. Or rather, 2 months of golf for $100 when you factor in the subscription cost).

And yes, WGT can be played on an iPad if that's the route you go.

Also one more question i have a very high spec laptop (but has a standard graphics card) -

can it be a case of trial and error to see if E6 or fitness golf work? does it just run laggy for instance?

The Skytrak website lists all the specs required for all of their supported sims, so check there.

The fitness golf one is not very demanding at all. The e6 is a little more so I believe. Although e6 can be used on certain ipads.

I think Creative only lets you play one hole only. Really lame if you ask me.

yea you are correct i just checked - 1 hole and then 6 strokes on the practice targets and ranges etc

Download the Fitness golf trial. You don't need a super hi spec computer to run it and there are lots of really good courses for a very reasonable one-off price. Probably it's not the most sophistcated sim sure, but hell it's been my lockdown go-to and kept me something approaching sane !

Thank you! will give it a go! i have a high spec computer but standard graphics card so will see how it goes. No harm in trying with a free trial
